Bacon Dumplings

Good if you’re tired of the normal Chicken Dumplings. This recipe calls for Vegetable Broth, to make that just put 2 whole onion, 2 carrots, 2, stalks celery, salt, pepper, garlic, and cumin in a pot of water, boil for an hour then strain.

Ingredients:

12oz package bacon

2 cups all purpose flour

pinch salt

1 1/2 tbsp baking powder

ground black pepper to taste

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 quart of Vegetable Broth

Directions:

Fry bacon and set aside. Crumble after bacon cools

In a large bowl sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Stir in pepper. Beat eggs and add the milk in a seperate bowl. Stir in the egg mixture and the bacon with dripping into the flour; stir with a fork until well blended. Add more milk if dough is too try. Mix well

In a 2 quart saucepan heat broth over medium heat. Drop dough by spoonfuls into simmering broth. Cover and cook about 12 minutes or until done.

Red- Neck Turtle Burgers

This is not my recipe. I found this on a very unknown site and just knew I had to share it!

First of all… no one get offended. These are not made of real turtles!!!

Here’s a new twist on how to serve burgers.

Handmade ground beef patties, topped with sharp cheddar cheese, wrapped in a bacon weave, then the next step,
add hotdogs as the heads, legs with slits for toes and tail.

Next step. Place on an oven rack, covered loosely with foil and baked for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees. A little crispy, not too crunchy.
